Mike McGinn to be sworn in as Mayor today

Mike McGinn will be sworn in as Seattle’s new mayor at 2 p.m. today.

The public is welcome to attend the Seattle City Council meeting, at Seattle City Hall, 600 Fourth Ave., Floor 2. There’s also a public reception afterward at 3 p.m. in the Bertha Knight Landes room on Floor 1.

You can watch the meeting and swearing in live on the Seattle Channel, cable channel 21, or watch it streamed live on the council’s website. (Photo from the “We Are the Missing Link” event in Ballard on October 27th.)
