Whittier Elementary PTA looking for auction items

Every two years, the Whittier PTA holds a fundraising auction to support key school programs such as the school nurse, the library, tutoring, art docents and scholarships for enrichment programs. This year, the PTA is reaching out to the community for auction items. We “would really love businesses to come up with creative, fun donations maybe two businesses together,” Tracey Ollason emailed us. “Maybe seemingly contradictory businesses donating together ie, candy delivery each month and a dental check up. Obviously the more fun and unusual the donation the more coverage there is possibly later for the business,” she writes. Not sure if you have anything to offer? Check out this list of ideas that they’ve come up with. Donations will be accepted until March 15th. If you’re interested, you can pick up a procurement form at the school (1320 NW 75th St) or email whittierauction2010@comcast.net

The live auction and dinner, themed “Hang Ten in 2010,” will be May 1st, 2010 at the Wellness Center of North Seattle Community College.
