Breakfast and dinner for two Ballard groups

This Sunday, let someone else do the cooking.

For breakfast, head over to the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St) for the pancake breakfast, their biggest fundraiser of the year. From 8 a.m. to noon, enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes for just $5 at the door or $4 in advance. Kids 3 and younger are free. All proceeds benefit scholarships and teen programs.

Then, get some traditional Scandinavian food at the annual Fishcake & Meatball Dinner put on by the Norwegian Women’s Chorus of Seattle. Doors at the Leif Erikson Lodge (2245 NW 57th St) open at 4:30. The Ladies Chorus will perform, there will be a live and silent auction and of course, fishcakes and meatballs. The $25 tickets go toward the Chorus’ Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets are available by calling Arlene Templin at (206) 784-1290.
