The 2010 Ballard Little League season is officially underway. Tonight was the 2nd annual “Mini-Jam” at the Ballard Community Center.
To start the season, players lined up in their new uniforms and sang the baseball classic, “Take me out to the ball game.”
Each team was introduced, ceremonial first pitches were thrown for baseball and softball and teams played in exhibition games. (Thanks Libby for the tip and Peggy for the video and picture!)
walked by here on my way home from work last night and i couldn't wipe the grin off my face. reminded me of my youth.
all the teams had locally sponsored business's, well at least i saw dante's dogs and magestic bay theater, and dante had two hot dog stands set up (very long lines).
love the small town feel of it.
