A man hanging out with friends at Gilman Playground says a man robbed him at gunpoint. It happened just after 10pm on June 20. The victim says he had gone to his friend’s car to get his cell phone when the robber tapped him on the shoulder. When the victim turned around, the robber was pointing a handgun at him demanding everything he had. After robbing him, the gunman ran away on foot. The police report does not list a description of the robber.

all this crime! at least we all know that if a van hit our house there will be 12+ police emt units on the way…
I hope this person dies this week.
While I don’t wish anybodies death this week, I do hate the thought of what’s happened to my hood, Ballard. Too many weenies/chiefs and not nearly enough braves. Does anybody feel safer than they did 2-3 years ago? Or is it worse, as I believe? Belltown this week, Ballard next. Yup, we need more bike lanes and cameras. Then I REALLY feel safe.
I’ve lived in Ballard for 10 years and the last 5 are noticeably more unsafe than the first 5. I would love to see a police station at the site of the old library.
jburgh – GREAT IDEA regarding the old library. We live a block away and hubby had an attempted mugging pulled on him last summer. The police were quick to respond but the perps slinked away successfully. Stay aware everyone, the predators come out in the summer!
the last few personal assaults in Ballard seem to happen 10pm-2am. Is that correct or do they also often happen in daytime?
Why would the police report not include a description – something? He could have been every color of the rainbow and I dont care.
