Thai Siam benefit dinner on Sunday

This Sunday, August 22nd, Thai Siam (8305 15th Ave NW) is hosting their 23rd anniversary benefit dinner.

From noon until 8:30 p.m., grab a bite to eat, enjoy live traditional Thai classical music, classical dancers and local artists – all while helping to raise money for three charities.

This year, Thai Siam will donate proceeds to:

The Epilepsy Foundation in Thailand- Epilepsy Foundation, established in September 1994, has serviced more than 2,000 adult patients with approximately 320 cases per month and 4 new cases per week, both newly diagnosed and referred cases. A number of epilepsy patients coming to the foundation are increasing every year. 80% of patients who had surgery are completely seizure free. A successful surgery can return good quality of life to patients, which can be comparable as “New Life”.

The Seattle Union Gospel Mission – an agent of change, providing food, shelter, and other basic services to those in our community who are in need until they can stand on their own once again.

Neighbor Care Health Medical Center – The mission of Neighbor care Health is to provide comprehensive health care to families and individuals who have difficulty accessing care; respond with sensitivity to the needs of their culturally diverse patients; and advocate and work with others to improve the overall health status of the communities they serve.

Since opening in 1987, the owners of Thai Siam have marked each year with a charity benefit. So far they’ve raised a total of $220,000. (Disclosure: Thai Siam is a sponsor of MyBallard.)
