House fire burns garage and two cars

Firefighters responded to a Blue Ridge home at 23rd and 96th St. last night for a garage fire. Fortunately, everyone was able to escape without injuries, and firefighters were able to keep most of the flames from spreading to the house.

Investigators are on scene this morning looking into the fire’s cause. “I think it started with an explosion,” wrote Glythl in the forum. “I am a few blocks away and heard it. I can see LOTS of smoke and flames.”

Beyond the garage, the fire spread to two cars parked in the driveway. A pickup truck and a Audi wagon were both heavily damaged in the fire. For more on the fire, you can see what Silver and others posted here in the forum.
