‘Pints for Parks’ tonight at The Noble Fir

Tonight is the first “Pints for Parks” fundraiser at The Noble Fir (5316 Ballard Ave. NW.) For every pint sold from 6:30 p.m. to close, $1 will be donated to Seattle Parks for non-native plant removal and native plantings at Discovery Park. “We decided to do this because we are passionate about the outdoors and wanted to contribute back to the community,” the owner Ellen Kelly tells us, “We’ve enjoyed countless walks in Discovery Park ourselves and with the funding cuts we thought it the perfect place to start.” The “Pints for Parks” fundraiser will be every Wednesday. Later this fall, the owners will expand the fundraising effort to other parks and conservation groups. (Thanks Jeremy for the tip!)
