The final performances of the Ballard High School fall play are this week.
This year students are doing Noises Off, a comedy about a play-within-a-play. New York Times critic Frank Rich called Noises Off “the funniest play written in my lifetime.” This is the first play of the school year for the Ballard High School drama department and the first production for BHS Director Shawn Riley.
“Support the Arts in our schools, and don’t miss this memorable night out!” BHS parent Kris Jones emailed us. The final three performances are at 7:30 p.m. on November 18th, 19th and 20th at the Earl Kelly Performing Arts Center (1418 NW 65th St.) Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors. Tickets are available here.
i have seen very few plays in my life time, and this is one of them… it is indeed very very funny and enjoyable to watch. might just have to take this in…

We saw it Opening Night, and my DH was laughing so hard during the second act I was afraid he might hurt something! ;-)
This is a VERY hard play to perform (hundred of entrances and exits plus lots of props) and the Ballard kids are doing an OUTSTANDING job with it!!
I also saw the play on opening night and was amazed by the production values upon entering the theater. The set is AWESOME! The actors were just as good, too! This is a fast paced comedy that has room for many errors and injury and the cast was spot on! The crew even got applause when they did the massive set change at intermission (I won’t give it away … )! I have purchased tickets for this Friday I loved it so much! The energy the new director is bringing to Ballard High School will keep me coming back for more. I hear CABARET is on the boards for the spring musical — FANTASTIC! Don’t miss this great show!
i hated it but i loved the effort
Sorry Mr. R, it was my friend he was making inconsidorate joke.
