The road from the off-leash dog park near Golden Gardens park down to Seaview Ave NW will be closed once again on Friday. During the closure on Thursday a Seattle Parks Engineer discovered cracking in the roadway itself which was caused by the overly saturated soil under the road. The crews were fixing a cracked culvert which allowed water to seep under the roadway when they discovered the bigger problem.
The roadway (map of closed area here) will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Once the road reopens, flashing barriers will be installed to keep cars off the vulnerable portion of road.
