Ballardite named Youth of the Year

Congratulations to Olivia Vellotti, a long-time member of the Ballard Boys & Girls Club, for being named the Youth of the Year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.

Mark Hendricks, the executive director of the Ballard Boys & Girls Club sent us this:

Olivia competed against 11 other teens from local Boys & Girls Clubs to win this award and represent the 17,000 Boys & Girls Club members in King County. Olivia is a straight A student and is involved throughout her community. Olivia is highly involved with the Keystone group at the Ballard Club, which is the high school leadership group by participating in community service, fundraising events and she has attended four National Leadership Conferences with the Boys & Girls Club. Olivia holds three part time jobs, one with Youth Force working with the Seattle Sounders and the Seattle Seahawks, another as the company manager for the Young Americans’ Theatre Company and the last one at Le Panier in Pike Place Market. Attending Holy Names Academy, Olivia is an actor in the drama department, a Thespian Induction Officer, a school Ambassador, a member of the vocal ensemble and a member of the Jr. Statesmen of America. Olivia has been a member of the Ballard Boys & Girls club since the first grade.
