Man surrenders after assaulting elderly mother

Early this morning a woman says she was assaulted by a man at a house in the 11900 block of NW 105th. According to police, the victim told them that the suspect had a handgun, which he had pointed at her. She also told police that the suspect’s 80-year-old mother was in the house, had also been assaulted and needed medical attention, the SPD Blotter states.

Police set up containment around the area and called the suspect on the phone, according to the SPD Blotter. The on-scene Sergeant was able to talk the victim out of the house and he was arrested for Investigation of Assault without incident. The suspect’s mother was treated for bruises at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department. (Thanks Silver for the tip!)

  1. doesn’t really seem like it’s in Ballard.

they called the suspect on his phone? why not bring out the megaphone and flash charges like they normally do.
