Ballard’s Little Orange Room is all about neighborhood pride. Owner Anne-Lise Hurn, who specializes in hand-made home goods and one-of-a-kind costumes has now launched a new line of neighborhood tees for little munchkins.

The t-shirts are hand-drawn images that represent many of Seattle’s unique neighborhoods and screen-printed in Hurn’s basement. “The idea came when we were trying to decide where to live after graduating from UW. I quickly saw how proud each neighborhood was of their tiny pocket of Seattle. This intense pride needed to be displayed. What better way then on your other pride and joy: your kids!” says Hurn.
So far Hurn has come up with designs for 14 Seattle neighborhoods – Ballard has the viking, Fremont has the troll, Green Lake is the historical Aqua Follies Girls and Greenwood showcases the long-celebrated car show. More neighborhood tees can be seen here.
