Burglar arrested in Whittier Heights

Early Sunday morning, someone called 911 to report a suspicious man in the 7500 block of Dibble Ave NW. The call came in around 6:40 a.m. and officers located the suspect who was in possession of a stolen red Honda generator, a stolen drill set, and a stolen UPS package addressed to a local resident. According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates the suspect was prowling the neighborhood and forcing entry into mainly garages, but did try to get into at least one house.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail. Detectives are handling the on-going investigation.

  1. Thank you for calling the police! It is hard to do sometimes – but thank you for taking the chance and trusting your intstincts.

  2. He’s been arrested, he’ll have is day in court, that’s the judicial process. But we as citizens are entitled to our own opinions, we can believe him guilty even if he’s not. Our opinions carry no weight in the judicial system.

Now maybe he “found” the stuff, but even so, he’s not legally allowed to keep it.Until then, if he is guilty, there’s less crime taking place in that neighborhood.

  3. I think it’s pretty obvious… a package with someone else’s name on it, a generator that wasn’t his, other stolen property? Come on! There’s not much reasonable doubt here and there’s plenty of evidence.
