With the sea lions barking in the background, nearly 100 runners and walkers took off from Golden Gardens park on a beautiful sunny morning for the first Ballard 5k Run/Walk. Ballard Rotary hosted the event to raise money for the Ballard Boys and Girls Club, the Ballard NW Senior Center and other Rotary projects.
