Dog escapes when house is broken into

A Loyal Heights woman is looking for her new dog that got out when someone broke into her house on Wednesday.

Melissa tells us she just got Sofie from an acquaintance in Marysville just a few days ago. And yesterday, Melissa says someone broke into her home between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and Sofie got out.

Sofie is a two or three year-old black and white pit bull with glassy blue eyes. “She’s super friendly,” Melissa says. She was wearing a harness with skulls and crossbones when she got out. Melissa says that neighbors reported seeing the dog yesterday running around the neighborhood, but no one could catch her. If you find her, please call Melissa at 206-784-0939.
