Paving on NW 85th Street starts Tuesday

Crews are getting ready to start work on the west end of NW 85th Street.

Starting Tuesday, paving crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation will spend the next week and a half repairing the road from 27th Ave NW and 31st Ave NW.

The road will be down to one lane, which will be shared by both eastbound and westbound traffic. Crews will work from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Thursday, August 11th. No on-street parking will be allowed and the eastbound bike lane will be closed. The sidewalks, however, will remain open.

This is not the major construction project that SDOT is planning to fix NW 85th St. That project runs from 15th Ave NW to I-5 and will begin either later this year or early next year.
