The 8th Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival is a month away and organizers are looking for sponsors, participants and volunteers.
A look at the 2009 Sustainable Ballard Festival
This year’s event is on Sunday, September 25th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Like in the past, there will be hands-on interactive educational workshops that range in topics from cheese-making to bike repair, how to install a solar water heater and how to get started in socially-responsible investing. “We would love for you to join us with your sustainability presentation, workshop, discussion, demonstration, etc. If you have a topic to share, or an idea you would like someone else to teach, please let us know! Please email us with your ideas or proposals,” Sustainable Ballard president Jenny Heins writes.

Volunteers are also needed to pull off the day-long event. There is a list of all the positions organizers need filled. Volunteers will get a free t-shirt, can hang out in the volunteer lounge and get a sneak peek of the weekend’s activities.
