Crime in Ballard is an ongoing concern for many people. We often get emails about petty crime and people post information and questions in the forum about break-ins, drugs and yes, even pooping in an alley.
On Thursday night, come to a crime prevention meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ballard Community Center (6020 28th Ave NW.) “Representatives from the City of Seattle Parks Dept.; Dept. of Neighborhood; Seattle Public Utility; and the Seattle Police Department will be here to discuss current criminal activity, other civility issues; and the role the residents can play in reducing crime and increasing our quality of life,” Chris Easterday writes. Easterday tells us this is a casual meeting with speakers and there will be a coffee hour afterward.
