Free burgers at Dick’s for vets tomorrow

Dick’s is honoring veterans and active military on Friday, Veterans Day, by offering them a free hamburger or cheeseburger.

The co-founder and president of Dick’s, Dick Spady, served in the military during two wars. “I served in the Navy in World War II and the Air Force during the Korean War. My wife was in the Navy when we met and now I have a granddaughter serving in the Navy. Our family holds a deep respect and admiration for our veterans and active military members. They deserve our recognition and gratitude,” Spady says.

From 10:30 a.m. until closing, veterans and active duty military can show any form of military identification or wear their military uniform for a free burger at any one of their six locations, including Crown Hill (9208 Holman Road NW.)
