Two renowned speakers will be in Ballard tonight to discuss climate research. The visiting lecture series is sponsored by the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and the Consul of Norway.

The speakers are Willy Østreng, a senior research for the Thor Heyerdahl Institute for Climate Research and Liv Arnesen, a renowned polar explorer. The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Swedish Ballard conference rooms ABC. The lecture is free and open to the public. More information on the speakers can be found here.

Today also happens to be King Harald of Norway’s 75th birthday so birthday cake and coffee will be served.
