Groundswell NW to hold annual meeting tonight

Groundswell NW will hold their annual meeting tonight, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ballard Boys and Girls Club. The featured speaker at the meeting will be Seattle City Council President Sally Clark. The meeting, open to the public, will highlight the Seattle City Council’s “green space priorities” for Ballard this year, such as greenways, rain gardens, and the missing link of the Burke-Gilman Trail.

The meeting will also have a question and answer session with Clark, and Groundswell NW will present their annual “Local Heroes” awards, where they, “recognize our fellow Ballardites’ efforts to create and enhance parks, public spaces, and habitat in our community.” The group says they, “welcome donations of desserts for the dessert potluck,” but it isn’t required.
