The building that housed the Blockbuster on 15th Ave NW is turning into Young’s Market Company, an alcohol distributor.
The location will be called an express store, where alcohol licensees can buy wines and liquors. Steve Burnell, director of the express stores, says the store is not open to the public; it will only serve licensed vendors. He says he expects the store to open August 16.
Young’s Market Company currently operates in ten states, but has a limited number of express stores. The Ballard store will be the second in Washington state.
