This Saturday is a dinner and dance fundraiser to benefit “Ski for Light,” a non-profit group to help sight-impaired people enjoy skiing. The fundraiser will be held at the Leif Erikson Lodge (2245 NW 57th St.) Main Hall at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20, and available at the lodge office or by calling 206-783-1274. The ticket includes a smoked cod and salmon dinner and dancing to the music of Nordic Reflection following the dinner.
The group has been around since 1976, operated by Erling Berg and other volunteers. The proceeds from the event go to equipment rentals such as skis, boots, and transportation. To learn more, click here.
