King Co. Boys & Girls Club CEO to meet with community tonight over transfer of director

The CEO of the King County Boys & Girls Club is meeting with parents and community members tonight to discuss the transfer of longtime Ballard club director Mark Hendricks. Hendricks, who has been the director of the Ballard club for 25 years, was told two weeks ago that he was going to be transferred to the Federal Way club. The community backlash has been considerable, and CEO Calvin Lyons has agreed to meet with the community to help address ongoing concerns. The meeting is at 5:30 tonight at the Ballard Boys & Girls Club (1767 NW 64th St).
