A number of Ballard businesses and people have been nominated in KING 5’s “Best of Western Washington” competition. Here are a few of the finalists in the running:
Best Personal Trainer: Jade Dahle from Ballard Health Club
Ballard Health Club trainer Jade Dahle has been nominated as the best personal trainer. With 22 days left in the competition, Dahle is in 4th place out of 247 25 nominees.
Dahle has worked at the Ballard Health Club since it opened in 1998, where she’s filled such roles as personal trainer, manager, and fitness instructor.
From her bio on the Ballard Health Club website:
…Starting at a young age, she was involved in organized and personal fitness, including a variety of dance, team and individual sports, martial arts and of course, weight training. Jade believes that lifelong health and fitness needs to fit the individual. With as many ways to achieve optimal fitness as there are people, it is her goal to find that right fit for each person. Members have enjoyed taking Jade’s conditioning classes: AbLab and Butt and Gut for some time, and she has had the pleasure of training members over the years and continues to do so, as her passion never subsides.
Best Flowers: Ballard Blossom
Ballard Blossom is nominated as having the best flowers. From their bio on the voting site:

Best Cocktails: BalMar
BalMar is nominated as having the best cocktails. They’re currently in 16th place. From their bio:

Best Sporting Goods: Surf Ballard
Known by many Ballardites as the best place to get a stand-up paddleboard rental, Surf Ballard is nominated as one of the best sporting goods locations. From their bio on the voting site:
