Fundraiser artwork stolen from Hazlewood

Artwork to benefit a local bartender’s father was stolen from Hazlewood over the weekend. Katie Blackstock, a bartender at Hazlewood, organized a fundraiser called “Operation Liver Swap” and the money from the artwork sold was going to help raise money for her father’s liver transplant.

The artwork stolen from Hazlewood Saturday night

A close friend of Blackstock’s, Susannah Wheeler, wrote to tell us of the incident. “The Ballard community is a strong one and I think getting the word out about this could result in the return of the artwork, and hopefully an apology.” If you have any information about the stolen artwork, you can email us at tips@myballard.com.
