Norwegian Ladies Chorus to host annual scholarship fundraiser next month

The Norwegian Ladies Chorus of Seattle is planning their annual fishcake and meatball fundraiser dinner. The event will be held on Sunday, April 14, at Leif Erikson Lodge (2245 NW 57th St, Seattle). A social and silent auction will kick off the event at 4 p.m. and dinner and entertainment will continue from 5:30 p.m.

Nordic culinary delights will be on hand including gourmet fishcakes, traditional Scandinavian meatballs with lingonberry sauce, Scandinavian pastries and baked goods, and a no-host bar featuring beer, wine, and soft drinks. Members of the Ballard High School choirs will entertain guests as they sample the Scandinavian delicacies.

The majority of funds raised from the event will go towards The Norwegian Ladies Chorus scholarship fund. They offer two awards which total $1, 500 and aim to support and promote musical endeavors of students in the ideals of the Norwegian community. Applicants are judged on merit alone by the Scholarship Committee and applications for 2013 close May 5th. Click here to check out the eligibility details.
