City Arts will present the Spring Edition of Art Walk Awards on Wednesday, May 22 at 1927 Events from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. They are now accepting nominations from businesses and galleries for pieces that were shown at Art Walk venues all over Seattle any time between January and April this year.
Any business or gallery in Ballard who participate in Art Walk is eligible to nominate pieces from the artists they showed. Nominations must come from the gallery or business. If an artwork you nominate is selected as a finalist, City Arts will contact you and the artist to arrange to show the work at the awards party.
The artist who takes home the crown will receive $1,250, second place $500, third place $250, and the first place winner will be featured in City Arts magazine. The business that showed the winning piece will also win a free 1/3-page print advertisement in City Arts magazine. The Art Walk Awards are presented by Blue Moon, with support from seattleartwalks.org
City Arts staff will choose the winning entry from the pool of nominated works on site during the Art Walk Awards event. All other nominations will go online for public vote for the Art Walk Awards in the People’s Choice category.
To nominate an artwork click here, fill out the form and upload image files of the work to ge.tt. Upload the images, then copy the generated link into the form. All digital images must be at least 300 pixels wide and 300 pixels tall.
