Ballard Youth Soccer Club registrations now open for fall

One of Ballard’s longest running youth soccer clubs has opened registrations for their fall season. Ballard Youth Soccer Club is for kids ages 4-18 and registrations are open until June 15.

Andrew Westmark, president of the club, tells us the games start after Labor Day and run through the end of October. “With over 2,000 players and 13,000 in our Seattle network Ballard Youth Soccer offers a fun environment to play soccer that can be as competitive as you want it to be,” Westmark writes.

For players ages 4-6, there is usually one practice per week, while the older players (7-12) have two practices per week with a professional trainer. Westmark says the club is volunteer-run and coached. “Most of our coaches are parents but a growing number are folks who don’t have children yet or whose children have grown and want to give back to their community. We provide excellent training to our coaches and age specific curriculum,” he tell us.
