Today is the last day to give your two cents on upcoming Interbay zoning changes. The Envisioning Ballard Interbay survey is part of the Interbay land-use corridor study, which has been going on for the last year. Take the online survey here.
For the past several months city planners have been discussing possibilities for the future of the Interbay area. Change has been rapid and is set to continue in the area with the addition of Metro’s Rapid Ride and the introduction of new apartments and offices, so DPD wants to make a plan with the community about the future of the area.
Some of the key issues that DPD want to hear about include:
- Business: What kind of businesses can thrive in the Interbay corridor?
- Retail: What types of retail does the community want ?
- Pedestrians and Bicycles: Which streets are the most important for walking and biking?
- Housing: Would Interbay be a good place for more people to live?
