On Thursday, June 27, there will be a free bicycle helmet giveaway for kids at the Ballard Commons Park. The giveaway is sponsored by the Seattle Children’s Hospital, who will provide helmets for kids ages 1- to 18-years old. There will also be free multi-sports helmets available for children ages 5 to 18.
Seattle Children’s says the wearers must be present to receive the helmet. There have been big turnouts in the past, so get there early, because the helmets are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis with a limited quantity.
