Donate school supplies to Li’l Woody’s for local foster kids

The newly opened Li’l Woody’s Burgers (2040 NW Market St) is hosting a month-long fundraiser for the Treehouse for Kids organization that helps local foster kids. They’re asking community members to drop off supplies like clothes, backpacks, and school supplies (folders, pencils, glue, notebooks) at the restaurant through August 24.

“It’s rough to think of a kid going to school without something as simple as a backpack,” Marcus Lalario, owner of Li’l Woody’s, said in a statement about the fundraiser. “The donation drive is an easy way for people in Seattle to take care of kids who need a little extra help.”

Li’l Woody’s has even created a special burger to support the drive; it’s called the Treehouse burger (arugula, swiss cheese, balsamic onions and garlic mayo), but is on offer for a limited time at the Capitol Hill location (1211 Pine St).
