The gastropub Brimmer & Heeltap (moving into the former Le Gourmand space, 425 NW Market St.) is hosting a “Before & After Party” to engage with the community before their opening. The event includes two separate parties; one is this Saturday, Aug. 17 to allow neighbors to visit the pub, preview the design plans, and taste some of their happy hour menu concoctions, including “inspired libations.”
The second event will take place just after the pub has opened; they’ll have a “post-remodel, pre-public dinner where Chef Whisenhunt’s machinations will be in full effect. Your palate will be praising whatever social graces landed you a seat,” according to the event information.
“In constructing the Brimmer & Heeltap home, we have occasion to honor a beautiful footprint and rich history while drafting a unique and vibrant chapter,” the event info reads. “And a neighborhood haunt is nothing without its neighbors. Your participation and input are key ingredients. So, with abiding fondness and in the spirit of community, we invite you to partake in the sweet rewards.”
