There will be an Early Design Meeting tonight at 8 p.m. at Ballard High School for an assisted living project planned for 5601 24th Ave NW. According to the Department of Planning and Development, the proposal is for a 7-story structure with 105 assisted living units with 3,600 sq. ft. of retail space and parking for 65 vehicles in an underground garage. The current structure would be demolished.
The meeting tonight will give the applicants a chance to present information about the site and the design concepts. The public can also offer comments regarding the design of a development on the subject site. The Design Review Board will them provide guidance and identify high-priority guidelines moving forward.
