BHS students to perform “Lend Me a Tenor”

tenorBallard High School Performing Arts is presenting the farcical play “Lend Me a Tenor” this week. Performances will kick off tonight at 7:30 p.m. and will continue on Friday and Saturday night in the Earl Kelly Performing Arts Center.

The hilarious play centers around Tito Merelli who has signed on to play Otello at a Cleveland opera company in the fall of 1934. He arrives late and then passes out much to the horror of the opera manager who is then forced to put his hapless assistant Max in the star role. What follows is a hilarious farce that is sure to entertain audiences of all ages.

Tickets to the show can be purchased online or at the door. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for staff, students under 18 and senior citizens.
