Update: Kyle Moore from Seattle Fire says an 83-year-old woman was sent to the hospital after being hit by a car when she was crossing the street. Moore reports that the woman was conscious, alert and oriented and didn’t appear to have any broken bones. The woman was sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure, according to Moore.
Original: A person was sent to the hospital following a car accident near the corner of 20th Ave NW and NW Market St. today around noon. My Ballard reader and forum member MidWest sent us the following photo.
“Did not see the accident itself, but did witness the aftermath as EMTs put someone in a stretcher into an ambulance,” MidWest writes. We’re waiting to get more information about the accident from Seattle Fire, and will update with any new info.
