Welcome to the weekend! Enjoy it out and about in Ballard at these fantastic events.

Friday, November 8:

  • Fall Orchid Festival at Swanson’s Nursery (9701 15th Ave NW) from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and continues on Saturday and Sunday. Orchid display, orchid vendors, talks throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. Free repotting service. Click here for more details.
  • Ghostlight Theatricals presents ”Rope” at the Ballard Underground (2220 NW Market St) from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Two Gatsby-era ivy-leaguers decide to murder a friend of theirs, just to prove they can get away with it. Tickets are $12 for students, seniors and TPS and $15 for general admission. Click here to buy tickets.
  • KRAM’S BINGOmatic Improv Machine at Ballard Senior Center (5429 32nd Ave NW) from 8 p.m. KRAM’s BINGOmatic Improv Machine takes 16 short improv scenes and puts them against the backdrop of a twisted bingo game. The audience controls the order of the show and prizes are won by a lucky few. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.

Saturday, November 9:

  • Seattle’s Hydro Spot Customer Appreciation Party at 917 NW 49th St from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Come and celebrate their 2 year anniversary. There will be vendors giving tons of free samples, free food, raffles & a huge sale.
  • King County Fall Cougar Crawl all over Ballard from 3 p.m. – 12 a.m. The pub crawl is hosted by the WSU Alumni Association – King County Chapter. Click here to check out more details and buy tickets.
  • Ballard Art Walk is on at many businesses and art galleries all over Ballard from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Click here to check out more details.
  • Ballard Emblem Club Annual Wine Tasting and Auction at Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Avenue NW) from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Join them for their 3rd annual “Roaring Twenties” wine tasting and auction!   • 26th Annual PNA Beer Taste at Phinney Center (6532 Phinney Ave N) from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Sample ten tastes from 30 microbrews along with pub snacks. $25/PNA Member; $35/non-member; $10/designated driver Beat the crowds: for an additional $25 tax deductible donation per person, get in 45 minutes early and enjoy sliders and coleslaw. Sunday, November 10:

  • Ballard Farmers Markets along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Click here to see this week’s specials.

  • Teen Space at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Come to Teen Space at the Ballard Branch, it’s a place to meet up and hang out! They’ll have snacks, music, board games, and art supplies. For young people in 6th – 12th grade.
  • Wax On Event at Anchors Down Bar (2016 NW Market St) from 4 p.m. Every Sunday at Anchors Down, bring in your vinyl records to listen to and share with fellow music junkies. All vinyl, all day, and an all day happy hour. We’ll take turns playing our favorite cuts and talk about music through the years. All music welcome!
  • Ballard Elks Lodge Ballroom Dancing (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 7 p.m. – 10 pm. Live music will be provided by The Eddy Fukano Band. Singles and couples are welcome and cost is $7 per person.  Click here for more details.
