Sustainable Ballard to host Ballard Green Building Talk and Tour tonight

Sustainable Ballard, in conjunction with Sustainable Works, is presenting the Ballard Green Building Talk tonight from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The event will be hosted at an energy-efficient retrofitted home (address to be given after you RSVP) and will be presented by Rose Mesec and Kellie Stickney from Sustainable Works.

The talk will cover the benefits of having an energy audit on your home and what to expect during an audit. “An energy audit identifies problem spots and helps you prioritize upgrades, squeezing the most out of each home improvement dollar you spend,” write the organizers.

Attendees will also learn about the 10 elements that energy auditors investigate and will have the chance to explore a home that has undergone both an audit and energy-efficiency upgrades.

“You’ll leave this talk able to determine if your house is a good candidate for an audit and retrofit,” write the organizers.
