Open house for North Beach Combined Sewer Overflow Control Project set for Saturday

King County Wastewater Treatment Division invites locals to a pre-construction open house this Saturday, January 11, for the North Beach Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Project. The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at North Beach Elementary School (9018 24th Avenue NW).

A contractor has been hired to begin construction early this year and King County Wastewater Treatment Division would like to introudce locals to the construction team and share more information about the upcoming project.

At the open house, attendees can:

  • Meet representatives from the construction contractor, Stellar J Corporation, and the County’s construction management team.
  • Learn about construction activities and schedule.
  • Ask questions about construction, and discuss any concerns you may have.
  • Learn about CSOs at North Beach, why they are a concern, and what you can do to help the sewer system and Puget Sound.

Children are welcome to attend the event and participate in educational activities and crafts learn about construction safety in the “Kids Construction Zone”!

If you are unable to attend, materials from the meeting will be posted on the project website following the meeting. All are welcome to attend.
