According to Seattle Greenlaker, popular Ballard spot Shelter Lounge (4910 Leary Way) is planning to open a second location in Greenlake.

The new establishment is set to open in the former Baskin Robbins location on Greenlake Dr.

Shelter Lounge co-owner Kevin Carlson described the design aesthetic of the new watering hole to Seattle Greenlaker. “The architecture is going to be very similar to the Ballard location with lots of wood and stone. There will be more fire elements and our walls will be able to open up to the lake creating an outdoor feel,” says Carlson.

According to the reports, the space will include an outdoor seating area where patrons can enjoy the up to 20 beers that will be on tap. Parents and kids will also be welcome on the premises until about 8 p.m.

Carlson and his team plan on opening the new location before the end of the year.
