Tomorrow afternoon will mark the opening of a new place to grab a burger in Ballard.
8oz. Burger and Co. is set to open it second location (its first is at 1401 Broadway in Capitol Hill) for happy hour and dinner service at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at 2409 NW Market St. in the former Hamburger Harry’s location.
“We are thrilled to be expanding into Ballard,” said owner Kevin Chung in a press release. “We’ll be continuing with the things that have made 8oz. Burger and Co. so popular, with its own Ballard spin.”
While the newly renovated space will feature some design elements similar to its counterpart in Capitol Hill, including reclaimed wood, subway tiles, and butcher block tables, the Ballard location will also sport some unique features, among them a metal hook and rope chandelier, a cooling element that displays fresh produce, meats, and local kegs, and five murals painted by local artist Japhy White.
The restaurant’s menu will also feature a mix of similar items to the Capitol Hill location (including their trademark burgers), with a few offerings specific to Ballard, including a “PB&J Burger,” consisting of a house blend burger patty, frisee, tomato jam, cinnamon spiced peanut butter, fontina, and bacon on a pretzel bun.
