The first weekend in September is upon us and there’s plenty happening in Ballard. Check out our round-up below:

  • Olympic Manor Annual Garage Sale (neighborhood just north of NW 85th St at 23rd Ave NW) from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Beautify your Rockery class at Swanson’s Nursery (9701 15th Ave NW) from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Why cultivate a rock garden? They’re low-maintenance. They’re in season all year round. They add variety to the landscape. Horticulturalist Andrew Prindle will offer his expertise in this informative seminar. Cost is free.
  • Free SAT Diagnostics Test at Sylvan Learning (2232 Northwest Market Street #8) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Find out how ready you are for the big test. Please RSVP first though at (206) 297-4595.
  • Stop Worrying, Start Living Workshop at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington (6556 24th Ave NW) from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. In this morning workshop, we will learn to replace worry with positive, constructive attitudes so that we can enjoy life with confidence. Cost is $30 ($20 for members).
  • Yard Sale at 8027 16th Ave NW from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Clothing (Women’s Medium-Large, Men’s Medium-Large – Contemporary/Trendy), Shoes (Women’s 10-11, Men’s 12-13), Furniture (Vintage, Contemporary), Bike Parts, Single Speed Bike, Tools etc.
  • Apple Pressing Garden Party at Greg’s Garden P-Patch (14th Ave NW & NW 54th St) from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Greg’s Garden P-Patch is celebrating their 15th year at our annual apple pressing party. All are welcome!
  • Sustainable Ballard Community Open House at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. All are welcome.
  • Ladies Night Out Swansons Nursery (9701 15th Ave NW) from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Proceeds wild benefit charity Teen Feed. Tickets are $10. Click here for more details.
