Beavers set to play in 1st Annual Memorial Football Classic this weekend

This fall, for the first time in over 12 years, all Seattle Public High Schools will play in the same sports league and the league are kicking off the season with a special celebration.

The 1st Annual Memorial Football Classic is a special two-day event being held at Memorial Stadium (Seattle Center) to celebrate the reunification of the Metro League, to raise money for Seattle public high school athletics, and to build support for the renewed Metro League.

The event will feature five exciting football games, including all three of the schools rejoining the Metro League – Garfield, Roosevelt, and of course our very own BHS.

Check out the game schedule below and head out to support the Beavers:

Friday, September 12:

5 p.m. Seattle Prep vs. Kennedy Lancers
7 p.m. O’Dea Fighting Irish vs. Mariner Marauders

Saturday, September 13:

12 p.m. Bainbridge Spartans vs. Cleveland Eagles
3 p.m. Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Ballard Beavers
5 p.m. Festivities
6 p.m. Garfield Bulldogs vs. Franklin Quakers

Event organizers are expecting around 7000 spectators to attend this exciting event! Tickets cost $5 per day for students and $10 per day for adults. Two-day passes can be purchased for $15. Click here to buy tickets.
