A My Ballard reader emailed in to report a hit and run incident that occurred in Ballard at approximately 8:48 p.m. last night.
According to the reader’s report, a late model black Volkswagen heading Southbound on 20th Ave NW without lights on, ran the stop sign and broadsided a late model PT Cruiser (pictured below) heading East on NW 80th St. The impact spun the Cruiser around and the vehicle ended up facing Westbound against the curb in the Eastbound lane.
The reader reports that the driver of the PT appeared to be fine, however, the Volkswagen (pictured below) continued without stopping. The hit and run suspect finally abandoned the car on the Southwest corner of NW 75th and 19th Ave NW.
