The new development, set to include 38 condos, will begin construction early next year.
Price wise the units start in the low $300s and, size wise, range from 556 sq. ft. for the one bedroom units to 1,428 sq. ft. for the three bedroom units. The Salt website confirmed that each unit will be Built Green certified and will feature interior finished such as polished quartz countertops, glass tile backsplash, under-cabinet LED lighting, and Fisher & Paykel and Bosch appliances.
On the street level, Salt will feature 1,800 square feet of retail space and three live-work townhomes. The building will also house an underground parking garage, storage locker facilities, a bicycle storage room with a workshop and a substantial rooftop deck.
The My Ballard team reported on the DPD approval for the development back in July for a six story mixed-use building with 34 parking spaces below grade.
Through the construction of the project, developers say that they want to “to create an incubator for the next generation of creative people in Ballard”.
