Pop-up espresso bar MmmHmm Coffee just opened inside the lobby of the new Sanborn Building at 5325 Ballard Ave NW.
The new pop-up will be open for three months serving Counter Culture Coffee.
The espresso bar is serving up four daily espresso options, house made chai tea latte, loose leaf tea and High 5 Pies.
“We want this pop-up to feel like a West Coast version of the Italian espresso bar. There is no seating; only standing tables which creates a culture of coming to coffee as a social experience, rather then an internet café,” says Jon French from the MmmHmm Coffee team.
The MmHmm team is also serving up iced coffee cocktails on the weekend at a pop-up out of Anchored Ship Coffee Bar (5306 Ballard Ave NW). The folks choose one liquor at a time and build the menu around the coffees that are in season.
The cocktail menu features items such as the Espresso Old Fashioned and the Espresso Martini.
The espresso bar in the Sanborn Building is open Monday-Saturday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 8 – 4 p.m. The cocktail bar is open from 7:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
