Romanza set to close its doors for good

In a statement released today, owners John Sterlin and Vince Harris announced the permanent closure of their Ballard store Romanza Gifts and Home Décor (2206 NW Market Street).

According to Sterling and Harris, the closure is due to rising expenses, increased competition from corporate “big box” retailers, manufactures selling direct-toconsumer, Amazon.com and overall diminished sales.

“We extend a heartfelt Thank You to all of our wonderful customers. You’ve continued to support Romanza for nearly two decades and we couldn’t have existed without you! We truly appreciate you and are exceedingly honored to have been a part of your lives and a part of this great community,” said Sterlin and Harris.

Starting Saturday, January 17, Romanza will begin liquidating inventory in preparation for the closure. All products will be offered at discounts ranging from 15% to 60% off.

Sterlin and Harris are also liquidating, store fixtures and displays, in addition to office equipment, lighting and storage shelving.  The liquidation will continue until all items are sold.
