Friday, June 5

Saturday, June 6

  • New North Precinct Police Station Open House event at Broadview Thomson Elementary (13040 Greenwood Ave N) from 10 a.m. – noon. Learn more about the new North Precinct Police Station project, including project status, preliminary designs, proposed schedule, opportunities for public input and more.
  • Literacy Council of Seattle Stock up for Summer Book Sale at 8500 14th Ave NW from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Fantastic bargains on thousands of used books:  cookbooks, children’s books, classics, gardening, history, mysteries, biographies, travel, Father’s Day gifts, beach reads and more. All proceeds to support adult literacy programs in our community. Early Bird entry 9 a.m. for $10 donation.
  • Friends of The Seattle Public Library Cookbook Sale at Delaney (1415 NW 70th St) from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. All cookbooks will be individually priced starting at $3. Some cookbooks will have been gently used, others will be like new. Space will be limited; once capacity is reached, sale-goers will experience a wait time.
  • Summer re-launch of Seattle Cookie Counter Vegan Ice Cream Truck at Light in the Attic Records (913 NW 50th St) from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Activities, face painting, silent auction and more. Click here to find out more.
  • Ballard Criterium Bike Race in Old Ballard from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Click here to find out more.
  • Summer Concerts at the Locks: Highline Community Symphonic Band from 2 p.m. in the botanical gardens. The concert is free and open to the public. Click here to check out the full summer schedule.
  • Intro to Forrest Yoga Series at Kula Movement Center for Yoga & Health (5340 Ballard Ave NW) from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Whether you’re new to yoga, rehabilitating and injury, or re-collecting to your practice, you are invited to join.   • King’s Hardware Sunday Sundown Movie Night at 5225 Ballard Ave NW. Classic sports movies will be shown every Sunday in June starting at sundown. This week’s double feature includes Major League and Basketball.
