Seafood and ocean lovers rejoice!
This week, from August 2nd-8th, its Sustainable Seafood Week in Seattle. The touring celebration drives home the point that seafood not only delights our taste buds, but strengthens our connections to thriving seashore economies and a healthy marine ecosystem.
Seattle demonstrates its passion for the delicacy by hosting events at the Waterfront park and South Lake Union, and giving us a guide to restaurants participating in the sustainability effort.
Throughout Sustainable Seafood Week Seattle, top city restaurants participate in the new Smart Catch program, sourcing only 100% sustainable seafood. Below is a list of Ballard restaurants currently participating in Smart Catch Dining Out:
